5. Nelson Agholor will have a big day

The Jets secondary have some obvious holes that were exploited by the Panthers. This could lead to a strong day from Agholor.

He is the best deep threat, and best overall receiver, on the Patriots roster. Not having an elite cornerback opposite of him will have a big impact on his performance, and the Patriots passing game as a whole.

We are going to see Josh McDaniels test the Jets below average secondary a few times. Agholor is going to be the guy who gets those nods, and one of them is going to strike.

This is only going to open up more opportunities for guys like Kendrick Bourne, Jonnu Smith, and Hunter Henry. Expect the Patriots to work the underneath game and try to nickel and dime the Jets defense to death.

Once New York begins to think they know what’s coming, that’s when McDaniels will dial in a deep shot to Agholor.

Expect the Patriots to work that whole “jab, jab, haymaker” strategy a few times throughout the game. Eventually, it’s going to pay off with a long completion downfield that shifts field position.
