4. Ability to dominate the time of possession

An easy way to earn a win in the NFL is to dominate the time of possession. By doing so, you can tire out the defense and make it easier to put points on the board, preferably touchdowns. The Broncos did just that against the Giants.

New York’s defense was supposed to be a challenge for Denver, but the opposite happened. The Broncos offense orchestrated lengthy drives that tired out the Giants, as they held onto the ball for over 35-minutes of playing time. Hence why they were able to extend their 10-7 halftime lead into a 27-13 win.

The Broncos can follow this same pattern by calling running plays with Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams. Just look at what the Texans were able to do against the Jaguars defense — 160 yards on 41 carries between four ball carriers. Oddly enough, the Texans had possession of the ball for over 35 minutes in that Week 1 game.

If the Broncos do this and by replicating what they did in Week 1, they should cruise to a victory.
