Darius Slayton is dirt poor after dropping one of Daniel Jones’ lone deep ball dimes (Video)

New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton had a surefire touchdown reception in the end zone…until he dropped it on Thursday night against the Washington Football Team.
The New York Giants had the chance to extend their lead over the rival Washington Football Team on Thursday night to earn their first win of the season. Quarterback Daniel Jones already found wide receiver Darius Slayton on a deep pass in the end zone in the second half, so Jones went looking for him again.
In the fourth quarter, Slayton was wide open down the field, and Jones threw him a beautiful dime pass in the end zone. The problem is that the wideout dropped the pass, negating a touchdown.
Darius Slayton’s dropped touchdown pass loomed large for Giants
If you thought things got better for the Giants and they would negate the drop by Slayton, you were wrong. The Giants were called for two false start penalties and fell short of the first-down marker on third down. Even though they were leading 23-20, the Giants opted to go to kicker Graham Gano, who made a 55-yard field goal.
Giants head coach Joe Judge banked on his defense to get the stop and preserve their six-point lead. Washington quarterback Taylor Heinecke hit running back J.D. McKissic on a 56-yard pass before connecting with Ricky Seals-Jones for a 19-yard touchdown.
There is no other way to put it — this was a series of unfortunate events for the Giants.
