1. NFL teams on upset alert in Week 2 – Washington Football Team

Injuries can truly change the course of a game (or season) and the Washington Football Team learned the hard way on Sunday. The Football Team was in a hard-fought game with the Los Angeles Chargers before Ryan Fitzpatrick went down with a hip injury, knocking him out of the game in a game the Chargers won 20-16.

Fitzpatrick suffered a hip subluxation and is now out for 6-8 weeks, turning the Washington offense over to backup Taylor Heinicke. The offense wasn’t bad under Heinicke, who completed 11-of-15 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown, but now the Football Team has to find a way to get themselves into the NFC East race without their quarterback for at least two months.

Despite the loss of Fitzpatrick, Washington is favored this week by three points over the New York Giants, who looked flat in a loss to the Denver Broncos. The Giants do have a good defense, however, which could make the difference in a low-scoring game where they are the team with the healthy starting quarterback.

The fact that this game is on Thursday could help Washington, which is the home team and won’t have to travel. The problem is that the Giants are equally desperate to avoid their 8th 0-2 start in the past nine years, making this a very dangerous game for the Football Team to be playing this week.
