Chris Fowler said what we’re all thinking about Alabama as they destroy Florida
By John Buhler
Chris Fowler is one of us when watching the Alabama football team crush Florida on Saturday.
We are only three weeks into the season, but Nick Saban’s Alabama football team is an absolute buzzsaw, and ESPN’s Chris Fowler took notice.
While he prepares to call the other big game of the weekend between No. 22 Auburn and No. 10 Penn State, Fowler could not have been more impressed by how much the Crimson Tide are having their way with Florida. Keep in mind that the Gators won the SEC East a year ago and entered play on Saturday as the No. 11 team in the nation. This one is getting ugly very quickly.
If now is not the right time for head coach Dan Mullen to put Anthony Richardson in over Emory Jones at quarterback, when is it?
Chris Fowler reacts to Alabama dominating Florida in the early part of game
While there have been other teams who have looked especially dominant this season, such as Georgia and Iowa, Alabama has had no issues doing whatever it wants on either side of the ball against two Floridian Power Five teams. Is Florida better than Miami? Yes, but the Gators should not be losing by multiple scores early at home to another strong SEC team the likes of Alabama.
Unless Georgia is really legit, Alabama may not be challenged until the College Football Playoff.
