The Michigan State Spartans are headed south and will face off against the Miami Hurricanes in Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday.

Michigan State is off to a hot start as the Spartans have easily handled both Northwestern and Youngstown State. MSU got the season started with a 38-21 win over the Wildcats and then beat the Penguins 42-14.

But while things are going well for Michigan State, Miami has struggled a bit to start the season. The Hurricanes were absolutely devastated in week one when they played Alabama in Atlanta. After losing 44-13 to the Crimson Tide, Miami managed to escape an upset bid from Appalachian State, beating the Mountaineers 25-23.

The Hurricanes had high hopes for this season and so far things are a little bleak. Miami could get things back on track if it managed to beat Michigan State. That said, should the Spartans come out on top, they would certainly get plenty of respect and would look like a legitimate Big Ten contender.
