Watch: James Skalski stuffs Georgia Tech on goal-line to clinch win for Clemson (Video)
By John Buhler
Clemson football star James Skalski rescues the Tigers from an embarrassing home loss to Georgia Tech.
Without linebacker James Skalski, the Clemson football team would have been nothing, as in losing at home to Georgia Tech.
In a game defined by weather delays, Clemson looked terrible in their Week 3 matchup vs. the Ramblin’ Wreck. Had it not been for Skalski’s heads-up play to keep Georgia Tech out of the end zone late, Clemson would have been eliminated from College Football Playoff contention before the start of October. A win is a win, but man, Clemson needs to get this thing right yesterday.
Here is the game-saving play by Skalski to propel Clemson to 2-1 on the young college season.

Clemson football star James Skalski saves the day with a great goal-line stop
While the Tigers have their whole season ahead of them, a 14-8 victory over Georgia Tech is going to do next to nothing for the Associated Press. Clemson was the No. 6 team in the country, but that is a performance against a terrible team the Tigers had no business losing to. Geoff Collins’ team will look to build on this, but Clemson should be frightened about what almost happened.
Clemson football fans cannot feel good about this year’s team even one bit after this game.
