USC alums Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart share their thoughts on who can lead the Trojans back on top.
The USC Trojans football program sent shockwaves throughout not just college football, but professional football as well after they opted to fire head coach Clay Helton after their loss to Stanford. Now, all the talk surrounding USC is how the program can change to become one of the top football teams in the nation, and who would be the right man to lead the job.
During FOX Sports pregame show, former USC quarterback Matt Leinart and running back Reggie Bush shared their thoughts on how the program can go back to the top of the college football world. Leinart said that program needs to create a championship culture with accountability, while Bush mentions that they need to bring in someone who can recruit. The name Bush brought up as a fit for him is Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders.

Bush name-dropping Sanders will certainly generate a ton of buzz, considering the Hall of Fame defensive back has only coached nine games with Jackson State entering Saturday night, holding a 6-3 record.
There have been plenty of names linked to the vacant head coaching job that is currently being filled in the interim by Donte Williams. Penn State’s James Franklin and Cincinnati’s Luke Fickell have all be seen as reported candidates for the head coaching job in the college ranks. Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is also seen as a potential candidate for the job.
Either way, all eyes are going to be on the Trojans’ head coaching search throughout the year, and we will continue to keep you updated on it.
