Alabama remained undefeated with a win over Florida but Skip Bayless wasn’t impressed.
Alabama had to sweat out a two-point victory at Florida to remain undefeated in the toughest test of the year for Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide.
The 31-29 win for Alabama will keep them at No. 1 in the college football rankings but FS1 host Skip Bayless wasn’t impressed.
It’s been custom to expect Alabama to run through their opponent without breaking much of a sweat and letting the second-team get reps for much of the fourth quarter. That wasn’t the case in Gainesville as the Florida offense showed some cracks and potential weak spots in the Tide defense.
The much-maligned Emory Jones had the best game of his carer and the Gators doubled up Alabama in the second half, outscoring them 20-10, but it wasn’t enough for the upset win.
Skip Bayless was not impressed with Alabama beating Florida
Saban will use the two-point win as a point of emphasis this coming week as things they need to work on as they get into the thick of the SEC schedule and a potential return to the College Football Playoff.
While Alabama didn’t cover the 14.5-point spread, they did get a win, but don’t tell that to Skip Bayless who was not impressed.
Alabama is impressive. Were they as impressive as they were against Miami as they were against Florida? No. But Bryce Young showed incredible poise in his first true road game, and considering the 90,000-plus in The Swamp, it was an impressive showing.
Bayless is a hater and no one on Alabama is going to concern themselves with he has to say.
