Things are going from bad to worse for USC football with Kedon Slovis out with an injury.

USC starting quarterback Kedon Slovis has been taken out of the game after getting sacked on the first drive and has been replaced by Jaxson Dart.

Slovis has battled injuries during his time with the Trojans and his latest malady has opened the door for the former top recruit, Dart, to show what he can do as the future of the quarterback position for USC.

It’s been a tumultuous week for USC football after the firing of head coach Clay Helton on Tuesday afternoon and now a potentially serious injury to Slovis.

Slovis was in the medical tent for some time as he received medical attention before emerging without his helmet on and wearing a parka.

Speculation is mounting that Slovis suffered a clavicle injury or an otherwise upper-body injury. This is just speculation and not to be confused with medical information. USC has not made an update regarding the health of Slovis or if he’ll return to the game vs. Washington State.

It’s likely, however, that Slovis will not return to this game. When he returns to the USC lineup could be several weeks away if he indeed suffer a fractured clavicle. If the worst-case scenario is true, it’s possible Slovis has played his last game as a member of the USC football team.
