The Philadelphia Eagles lost the leader of their defensive line, Brandon Graham, for the season with a torn achilles.
In what was already a tough loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Eagles just took another brutal blow after revealing Graham will be out for the year. Itās just another in whatās been a tough week of injuries around the NFL.
Graham was carted off with a leg injury, and teammates were visibly upset in the outset. He couldnāt put any weight on his left leg, leading pundits to presume the injury was serious. Unfortunately, they were correct.
The Eagles recently reworked Grahamās contract for the sake of salary cap space, proving yet again how the Michigan product puts team above everything else.
Brandon Graham injury: Eagles dealt a major blow
The likes ofĀ Javon Hargrave, Josh Sweat and Derek Barnett will have to step up in Grahamās absence, as well as the aforementioned Fletcher Cox. As impressive as Jalen Hurts has looked early this season, improvements will have to be made across the board if the Eagles are going to compete for the NFC East crown.
This isnāt the only injury the Eagles defense suffered on the day, as veteran Brandon Brooks went out with a chest injury.
