It does not matter what week it is in the NFL, some head coach is feeling the heat big time.

As the weather starts to think about changing, some NFL owners may start to think about getting a new head coach for next season.

Admittedly, the sample size is insanely small, but that is not going to stop a rabid fanbase or an eccentric billionaire from overreacting accordingly. Though everybody wins and loses games in the league, some head coaches are starting to lose their grip on their team for various reasons. Eight or so will end up getting whacked before the NFL returns to the scouting combine in Indianapolis.

Here are three head coaches who should be feeling some heat after their team’s Week 2 showing.

NFL head coach hot seat watch: 3 seats that are getting toasty after Week 2

Frank Reich hitching his wagon to Carson Wentz once again has his team at 0-2

For a team that many people expected to win the AFC South, the Indianapolis Colts are beginning the year out in an 0-2 hole under head coach Frank Reich. While one could chalk it up to them having to play a pair of playoff-caliber teams out of the NFC West in consecutive weeks, the Colts were a playoff team a year ago. The division may be bad, but the Colts are really up against it now.

Even more concerning, their new starting quarterback Carson Wentz has not played well in his first two starts and he got hurt again. Though he and Reich did amazing things together while with the Philadelphia Eagles, that was for three-quarters of a season four years ago. Hitching his wagon to Wentz could have disastrous consequences for Reich’s long-term stay in Indianapolis.

If Reich were to get the ax by the Colts, he would be hired by another team in a heartbeat. However, this roster is too talented for him to fail to get the Colts to a division title for the fourth straight season. The Colts have not won the AFC South since Andrew Luck’s third year in the league out of Stanford. And with in-season Hard KnocksĀ now in the building, look out, Colts.

Every year, one coach gets fired shockingly, and the best candidate for now that might be Reich.
