The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 2-0 and Tom Brady continues to play like an MVP candidate with nine touchdowns in his first two games of the season.

If you thought Tom Brady would take a step back in Week 2, think again.

Brady is just as good as he’s ever been and he’s not taking his foot off the pedal.

Against the Falcons, the Buccaneers quarterback threw five touchdowns while leading his team to a 48-25 victory.

Tom Brady’s quick start to 2021 is one for the record books

Brady is now in rare company, joining Drew Brees, Patrick Mahomes, Peyton Manning, Russell Wilson and Charley Johnson in opening a season with nine touchdown passes.

It took Brady four weeks to hit nine TDs last year. He’s way ahead of schedule and putting himself at the head of the class for quarterbacks this season.

The Buccaneers have won nine straight games with the Super Bowl MVP at the helm and they’ve scored more than 30 points in each of them. No other team in history has done that, per ESPN Stats & Info. Brady had gotten to eight straight wins with 30 or more points twice with the Patriots.

Brady could have come into this season and started to show his age and Tampa Bay still could have been a contender. Instead, he’s turned up with a point to prove: Age doesn’t matter.

The next two weeks will give Brady and the Bucs an added challenge. They are set to go on the road for the first time this season to face the Rams at SoFi Stadium. One team will have to come out of that game with their first loss of the campaign.

Tampa Bay will remain on the road for Brady’s return to Gillette Stadium to face the Patriots for the first time since leaving New England.
