Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis performed alongside New Edition and sang to his new bride at his Sept. 18 wedding.
Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis excels at many things, but singing is not one of them. Still, the eight-time NBA All-Star wasn’t fazed when he serenaded his new bride at his Sept. 18 wedding, dancing to the classic songs of R&B group New Edition.

The guest list, which included Lakers teammate LeBron James and singer Adele, danced the night away while Davis enjoyed the presence of New Edition.

Interestingly enough, the famous basketball star has managed to keep his personal life out of the headlines, with his new wife being known simply as “Marlen P.” The couple has reportedly been together since 2017, sharing a daughter named Nala born that same year.
NBA fans caught a rare glimpse of Davis family when they aided in presenting the 2020 NBA Champion with his ring last December.

“Nala and I are extremely happy and proud to present you tonight with your first ring,” Marlen said with their daughter on her lap. “We are so proud of you.”
The reception party also included NBA players like Russell Westbrook, DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins, Jared Dudley and Quinn Cook, among others. Davis also invited University of Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari.
While Davis has kept his family out of the headlines, news and photos of his nuptials flooded social media as fans and guests showered the happy couple in congratulations.
