Wide Receivers

Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos vs. New York Jets ($6,900)

Coming off a torn ACL, Sutton started slowly in Week 1 (one catch for 14 yards). But the overall signs were positive, and with Jerry Jeudy (ankle) out he went off for nine catches (on 12 targets) for 159 yards in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

As easily correlated with how they have been against quarterbacks, the Jets have not been generous to opposing wide receivers through two weeks in terms of fantasy points. But opposing wideouts have averaged just 14.5 targets per game against them (fifth-fewest in the league). The Broncos may eventually not have to throw the ball a bunch on Sunday, but Sutton’s target share pushes him to a solid floor to go with his ceiling. Stacking him with Bridgewater was pretty easy.

Julio Jones, Tennessee Titans vs. Indianapolis Colts ($6,700)

Jones did not have a great Titans’ debut in Week 1 (three catches for 29 yards). But he rebounded nicely against the Seahawks in Week 2 (six receptions for 128 yards), with an iffy out of bounds call costing him a touchdown catch.

Jones stands out as a value play on FanDuel this week. But the Colts have allowed 42.8 FanDuel points to wide receivers through Week 2 (tied for fourth-most in the league). A.J. Brown is lined up for a rebound in Week 3, but there’s room for Jones to eat too. A sub-$7,000 salary seals him in this lineup.

Kenny Golladay, New York Giants vs. Atlanta Falcons ($5,600)

After his sideline shouting incident in Week 2, directed at offensive coordinator Jason Garrett apparently, Golladay fits the “squeaky wheel gets the grease” narrative for Week 3. It also just so happens he has a nice-looking matchup, with extra time between games to build rapport with quarterback Daniel Jones in practice.

The Atlanta Falcons are a bottom-10 fantasy defense against wide receivers through two weeks, with five touchdowns allowed to the position (tied for second-most in the league). Piggybacking on the great matchup for Jones, but avoiding the quarterback-wide receiver stack, Golladay is a nice value on FanDuel this week.
