2. Eagles vs Cowboys predictions: Jalen Hurts will pass for 300 yards
We just discussed how the Dallas Cowboys defense allows wide receivers to feast, which means they allow quarterbacks to really eat. In Week 1, the Cowboys allowed Tom Brady to pass for 379 yards and four touchdowns. In Week 2, it was Justin Herbert’s turn, as he went for 338 yards and one touchdown against the Dallas defense. Now it’s Jalen Hurts time to have some fun.
When Jalen Hurts took over as starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, it only took him two games before he went over the 300-yard mark in a single game. He threw for 338 yards in his second start. His third start was against the Dallas Cowboys, and he threw for 342 yards in that game.
He hasn’t thrown for 300 yards in the three games he started since. His season high this year is 264 against the Atlanta Falcons in the opener. In his second career start against the division rival, expect him to return to 300 yard mark. Last time he faced them, Hurts was relatively inexperienced, but the Cowboys passing defense was bad. This time around, the Cowboys passing defense is still bad and Hurts has a full off-season as the starting quarterback under him with more talented weapons.
