Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce provided Kansas City Chiefs fans with plenty of laughs over a cookie exchange on Twitter.

Can someone get Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes some gosh darn cookies? You’d think after helping the team win the Super Bowl two seasons ago and signing a deal north of $500 million that Mahomes would be able to get what he wants at any time of day.

Unfortunately for him, that wasn’t the case on Thursday. As it turns out, former Chiefs lineman Jeff Allen stopped by today and hooked up some players with some cookies. Allen, the co-founder of The Cookie Society, wanted guys to enjoy some tasty bites. Travis Kelce was a satisfied customer, but Mahomes apparently didn’t get the memo.

Where was the heads up for the superstar signal-caller? Clearly Mahomes didn’t know Allen was going to be in the house this week. Otherwise, he would have made sure to get his cookie fix. As for Kelce, his response to Mahomes’ tweet was nothing short of perfect.

Hey, it’s not Kelce’s job to make sure Mahomes is getting tasty treats on a day-to-day basis. Instead, the tight end is more focused on making sure he catches everything his good friend throws his way.

Come Sunday, Kelce will look to ball out alongside Mahomes in a showdown with the Los Angeles Chargers. That game comes one week after the reigning AFC champs suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Baltimore Ravens on the road.

Should Kansas City record a big win over LA in Week 3, Kelce would be wise to hook up Mahomes with a nice gift. Hey, maybe some chocolate chip cookies ought to do the trick.
