There was a battle of top-20 football programs taking place on Saturday that headlined the second-slate of college games. The No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies took on the No. 16 Arkansas Razorbacks in the Southwest Classic at AT&T Stadium.
In the game, casual college football fans saw Isaiah Spiller lead the backfield for the Aggies. That left those individuals wondering if he is related to former Clemson Tigers running back and NFL veteran C.J. Spiller.
Is Isaiah Spiller related to C.J. Spiller?
The answer to the question is no, Isaiah Spiller is not related to C.J. Spiller. However, Spiller’s father, Fred, played tight end for Texas A&M from 1999 until 2000.
In his first two seasons with the Aggies, Spiller rushed for 1,982 yards and 19 touchdowns on 362 carries. Through the first three games of the 2021 campaign, Spiller accumulated 250 rushing yards and one touchdown on 40 attempts.
