Eric Bieniemy is ready to be an NFL head coach, but is Chicago the right fit?

Frankly, Eric Bieniemy should be a head coach already. He has gotten so many interviews the last few years, he is bound to get a head-coaching job at some point. While he could have led his alma mater after Mel Tucker bolted for East Lansing, Bieniemy wisely stayed as the Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator. Though replacing a fellow Andy Reid disciple could be tough, it may happen.

What Bieniemy will provide to the Bears offense is a multi-faceted approach. He is a running back by trade, so the ground game will be a point of emphasis for him, even if the Bears offensive line is rancid these days. Bieniemy will also allow a dual-threat playmaker like Fields to succeed in and around the pocket. Fields is not Patrick Mahomes, but they can do similar things under center.

Unlike Brady, Bieniemy is 100 percent ready for his shot. What this comes down to is the ideal fit for him. How sure are we the Bears are the best job Bieniemy can get in this upcoming offseason cycle? If it is the best job available and Bieniemy is a serious candidate for the gig, then he should take it. However, Chicago will run through coaches and Bieniemy may not be interested in that.

Bieniemy would be a great replacement over Nagy, but there is one guy who is perfect for the job.
