Former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning was inducted into the team Hall of Fame on Sunday, and had to give an on-air apology for double birds on Monday.

The Younger Manning brother evidently doesn’t fully understand how live television works, and flipped off viewers with not just one, but two middle fingers. ESPN2 producers did not have time to blur the image out, so the entire world had a chance to get offended.

While we hope you were not one of those offended parties, the Worldwide Leader wasn’t taking any chances, and asked Eli to apologize on-air.

Manning was telling tales of his time as a rival Giants quarterback visiting Lincoln Financial Field in Philly. Surely, he received worse. And from a 9-year-old, apparently.

Kids, don’t let your kids watch the Manningcast

The Mannings are great at teaching us football at the molecular level and doing so in entertaining fashion. They’re also trying to make this process as authentic as possible, so it’s tough for Eli to go from that mindset to watching his tone and/or mannerisms.

Nonetheless, not giving viewers the middle finger should be an obvious one.

The Manningcast will take a bit of a break, at least until Week 6. The Mannings only signed up for 10 weeks of coverage, meaning there are going to be breaks in between, unfortunately.
