Could Aaron Rodgers praising Steelers set up future trade interest?
The Pittsburgh Steelers are amidst a QB crisis after the way that Ben Roethlisberger has played so far this season, could Aaron Rodgers be the answer?
The Pittsburgh Steelers will travel to Wisconsin this weekend for a Week 4 showdown against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. The Steelers sit at 1-2 on the season and are coming off of an embarrassing loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, while Rodgers had 37 seconds to successfully set-up a game-winning field goal against the San Francisco 49ers.
Rodgers has been clear about his dissatisfaction with Green Bay’s organization, but praised the Steelers on Tuesday.
Could Aaron Rodgers be the answer to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offensive troubles?
Over the past two weeks alone, Rodgers has thrown for six touchdowns. Meanwhile, Roethlisberger has thrown for a whopping three touchdowns and three interceptions so far this season. It’s clear that Pittsburgh is in trouble with Ben at the helm.
Could this mean that Aaron wants to be in black and gold? He’s 37-years-old, two years younger than Ben, but would be a great temporary fix to the Steelers’ quarterback situation. Pittsburgh has failed to draft a quarterback over the past two years knowing that Roethlisberger’s time is coming to an end. It actually should’ve already ended.
Father Time hasn’t been kind to Ben, but maybe the odds will turn in the Steelers’ favor if they’re able to trade for Rodgers. Backup quarterback Mason Rudolph definitely isn’t the answer and Pittsburgh is in danger of having its first losing season since 2003.
Mike Tomlin, Rodgers would love to play for you. Aaron can still throw the ball downfield. Steelers, take the hint.
