Mike Tomlin could care less about Tyler Boyd’s opinion of Steelers

Tyler Boyd said the Pittsburgh Steelers looked like they gave up at the end of their loss to the Bengals and Mike Tomlin was clearly annoyed by that comment. 

The 2021 campaign has been a bit of a nightmare for the Pittsburgh Steelers thus far. Pittsburgh is now 1-2 after suffering a rough 24-10 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals at Heinz Field this past Sunday.

In that loss, some late drops only added to the sluggish play for the home team throughout the contest. Tyler Boyd noticed this and even came out and said he felt like the Steelers quit at the end of the game. Well, Mike Tomlin saw this quote and it’s clear he wasn’t too happy about it.

This is a priceless reaction from Tomlin. You think he has time to worry about what Boyd thinks about his team? No chance. Right now, Tomlin is more worried about trying to get his squad back on the right track.

For starters, Ben Roethlisberger needs to wake up and get the offense going. To only score 10 points against Cincinnati is a joke. In the loss, Roethlisberger ended up throwing for 318 yards, but he also did throw two interceptions.

The ground game couldn’t really muster much of anything either, as Najee Harris finished the game with 14 carries for only 40 yards. Folks expected Pittsburgh to put on a show against Cincinnati, but the opposite was true.

After opening the year with a close win over the powerful Buffalo Bills in Week 1, Pittsburgh has now lost in back-to-back weeks to the Raiders and Bengals. Both those losses have come at home. Come Nov. 28, though, Pittsburgh will head to Cincinnati to try and get some revenge on the Bengals. Boyd’s quote will surely be discussed before that opening kickoff.
