DraftKings has become a hot alternative to traditional fantasy football, and setting lineups each week is the most exciting yet stressful thing about it.

Last week’s DraftKings article focused on wisely picking the ‘big-named’ players while having money left over to spend elsewhere to create a balanced lineup. Really, once you find your strategy (or strategies with multiple lineups), take it and run with it. Every preference is different.

This week, we’re going to focus on a lineup that has us spending a little less on quarterback so we’re able to evenly distribute that money elsewhere to guarantee productive players.

I was surprised by the big names I was able to get with this budget, and really it all comes down to picking the right cheap defense and a tier two or three quarterback to make it work. Spending big on quarterback should guarantee you points at that position but leave you weaker at others.

While picking a cheap, yet very good quarterback in Sam Darnold, I was able to assemble a star-studded lineup. Let’s get into it.

Best DraftKings lineup for Week 4

Quarterback: Sam Darnold ($6,000)

Darnold has enjoyed a terrific start with his new team, throwing for 888 yards and finishing as fantasy’s QB17, QB13, and QB5 through three weeks. He’s become a fantasy sleeper in both traditional fantasy leagues and daily fantasy lineups.

I love Darnold’s Week 4 matchup against Dallas, where Carolina should have command of this game, though Dallas has looked tough through three weeks. Either way, Darnold has looked in command of this offense thus far and things won’t change against a mediocre Dallas defense.

Another reason why Darnols was so appealing here is his price of $6,000 is crazy cheap, especially for someone who put up a top-five quarterback day last week. I love the player, the price, and the matchup here and spending lower at quarterback allows the rest of the lineup to fill out nicely.
