The Houston Texans may be more willing to trade Deshaun Watson than theyāve been all year, according to a report from Jay Glazer.
The Deshaun Watson trade saga might be heating up as the Texans reevaluate their asking price for the quarterback.
According to FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer, Houstonās previous stance demanding an outrageous number of draft picks to trade Watson may be shifting.
āI was told this past week their stance started to soften a little bit with that,ā Glazer said.
Deshaun Watson trade rumors: Dolphins are obvious for softening Texans
Glazer called the Dolphins āan obvious trade partnerā for the Texans considering Tua Tagovailoaās injury.
The trade makes a ton of sense for Miami. The question has always surrounded how much Houston would demand to part with him. Their negotiating position isnāt helped by Glazerās insistence that Watson will not change his mind about playing for the Texans this season.
āHe is not playing for them,ā Glazer said.
Watsonās uncertain legal status doesnāt make things any easier. Heās been accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of massage therapists in the Houston area. However, the NFL has not suspended him or put him on the commissionerās exempt list while those accusations are sorted out.
Watson may be eligible to play immediately, but whatever team traded for him would also be bringing on the baggage of a possible suspension in the future.
