Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Robbie Ray had a meme-worthy reaction after getting bombarded by the New York Yankees on Thursday night.

The Toronto Blue Jays took the second game of their three-game series against the New York Yankees on Wednesday night. On Thursday, the Blue Jays looked to take the final game against their rivals with AL Cy Young candidate Robbie Ray on the mound to help climb in the American League Wild Card standings.

Things were going relatively well for Ray, until the top of the sixth inning. With the Blue Jays leading 2-1, Ray surrendered three home runs to Anthony Rizzo, Aaron Judge and Gleyber Torres, turning it into a 5-2 deficit.

When Torres rounded the bases, the YES Network cameras caught Ray’s reaction, and it was meme-worthy.

“Uh oh,” said Ray, probably.

Ray was not the only AL Cy Young candidate to have a bad start in the final week of the regular-season. On Wednesday night, Yankees ace Gerrit Cole surrendered five earned runs on nine hits (two home runs) in six innings of work. However, Cole was not assessed a decision, as the Blue Jays narrowly held on to win 6-5.

The Blue Jays entered Thursday night one game behind the Boston Red Sox for the final Wild Card spot. That night Toronto received a massive assist from the Baltimore Orioles, who defeated Boston 6-2.

Now, the Blue Jays will set their focus on those very Orioles for their final three-games of the season to try and clinch a postseason berth for the second-consecutive season. The Blue Jays will certainly hope that they provide no meme-material at their expense.
