Bo Nix gave way to T.J. Finley in the second quarter with Auburn looking for a part against LSU.

Bo Nix started vs. LSU but the Auburn quarterback may not finish for the second straight game.

After Nix was benched for T.J. Finley who led a fourth-quarter comeback to avoid an upset by Georgia State came in during the second quarter with Auburn trailing LSU 10-0.

There was some debate as to whether Finley would get the start for Auburn against his former team but it was Nix who came out with the starters.

Nix completed 5-of-9 passes for 77 yards and had 19 rushing yards on four carries at the time Finley came in.

It’s unclear whether Nix is taking a seat for the remainder of the game or if this was by design from Auburn head coach Bryan Harsin.

ESPN broadcaster Greg McElroy who is calling the game with Joe Tessitore seems to think it was all part of Harsin’s plan to work Finley in with the starters on the third possession.
