Nick Saban has an incredible record vs. his former assistants in head-to-head matchups.

With Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide hosting Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday afternoon, it will be the first time this season Saban will square off with one of his former assistants’ teams.

Kiffin is in his second season leading Ole Miss. Prior to his three-year run at Florida Atlantic, Kiffin rehabilitated his image as Saban’s offensive coordinator. Though Ole Miss is the No. 12 team in the nation, it will take a near-perfect game out of the Rebels to stun the Crimson Tide at Bryant-Denny. This will be the 24th time Saban will play a team led by one of his former assistants.

To date, no Saban disciple has ever beaten him on the gridiron, as he is a perfect 23-0 vs. them.

Nick Saban: What is his all-time record vs. his former coaching assistants?

Saban is guaranteed to face two of his former assistants this year with Kiffin’s Rebels on Saturday and Jimbo Fisher’s Texas A&M Aggies in College Station next week. There is also a chance Saban will have to play another assistant’s team in Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs this year. Georgia is the No. 2 team in the land. Alabama and Georgia may potentially meet in the postseason this year.

While Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Georgia are good programs, Alabama still has the advantage.
