University of Texas athletes Vince Young and Roger Clemens reacted to the Longhorns’ win over the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday.

The Texas Longhorns have had a promising season thus far under new head coach Steve Sarkisian, minus the loss to Arkansas in the second week of the campaign. But, they received quite the challenge on Saturday in the form of the TCU Horned Frogs.

The Longhorns held on to defeat the Horned Frogs 32-27, where they improved to a 4-1 record on the year.

There were not just fans hyped up by the win, but former Longhorns athletes Vince Young and Roger Clemens could not help but tweet out their happiness on Saturday.

Vince Young, Roger Clemens hyped after Texas’ win over TCU

There were plenty of “horns up” gestures being made by Texas fans across the country.

Young and Clemens have one thing in common, and that is they led the Longhorns to an NCAA Championship in their respective sports. Young was the starting quarterback for the 2005 Longhorns team that defeated the USC Trojans in the epic Rose Bowl game. Clemens, on the other hand, was the winning pitcher for the Longhorns team that helped win the 1983 NCAA title game over the Alabama Crimson Tide.

As for Saturday’s game, the star for Texas was running back Bijan Robinson. The sophomore ran for a career-high 216 yards on 35 carries against the Horned Frogs. He was also responsible for two of Texas’ touchdowns on the day.

Texas fans and alum will no doubt enjoy the victory throughout the week. Then things get serious next Saturday because they have a huge game against the No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Showdown Game.
