In some good news for the Chicago White Sox, the team is feeling great about Carlos Rodon leading up to the series with the Houston Astros.

What can Chicago White Sox fans expect from star hurler Carlos Rodon this postseason? There’s surely been plenty of nerves among the supporters, as Rodon has been battling shoulder and arm fatigue this campaign.

However, general manager Rick Hahn has surely calmed plenty of nerves, as he said the team believes the lefty will be ready to rock and make an impact in the postseason.

Carlos Rodon is battling back from injury and the hope is he can pitch at a high level

“We remain optimistic that he’s going to be able to contribute over the course of the next month,” Hahn said via ESPN. “Obviously, given the amount of work that he has endured this season — the jump from the previous years — his strength and comfort and general level of soreness and fatigue is something that we continue to monitor.”

Obviously, this is great to see. Chicago is about to enter a massive ALDS series with the Houston Astros. All the Astros haters out there are ready to see the AL Central champs take down Houston and do so in convincing fashion.

Rodon could potentially play a big role in that happening. In the regular season, the veteran was fantastic. On the year, Rodon went 13-5 and posted a 2.37 ERA. He added 185 strikeouts and was named to the American League All-Star team over the summer.

Despite that, there was plenty of concern with his arm and shoulder fatigue, which included him leaving a start early in September and previously heading to the Injured List. Now, Rodon will hope to put that past him as he gets ready to try and silence the Houston bats here soon.
