Running Back 1: Nick Chubb ($6,700) vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Nick Chubb has rushed 69 times for 362 yards and three touchdowns, which are again RB1 numbers for the young back. He’s probably salivating at his upcoming matchup against a 29th-ranked Chargers’ rushing defense.

Chubb has ceded a lot of work to Kareem Hunt, but it doesn’t seem to matter. Chubb’s 69 carries are fifth in the league among running backs, and he remains Cleveland’s offensive center point.

Chubb is worth the high price tag this week as he’s looking at a guaranteed top-10 finish with upside for much more.

Running Back 2: James Robinson ($6,000) vs. Tennessee Titans

It appears that James Robinson has finally re-seized the Jacksonville backfield after Jags’ coach Urban Meyer tried everything he could to keep Carlos Hyde involved. Robinson has vaulted into the top-10 in fantasy points for running backs and he’s only going to get better from here.

Last week, Robinson carved up a decent Cincinnati defense, rushing 18 times for 78 yards and two touchdowns. This week, he gets a Tennessee defense that has been formidable against  the run (91.5 yards per game) but lackluster overall — losing to the New York Jets last week.

Robinson’s increased usage and production has me fully confident in a top-15 finish this week and he can be had at a solid price. I’m happy about the one-two punch we were able to get at running back.
