UEFA Nations League: Italy vs Spain live stream, start time, TV channel
Italy and Spain renew their rivalry when the sides meet in the semifinals of the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday, Oct. 6 in Milan, Italy. Here’s what you need to know.
Another high-profile semifinal between two of Europe’s best teams and another chance to see Italy and Spain lock horns.
Three months after Italy eliminated Spain in the semifinals of the European Championship, the teams will face off in the semifinals Wednesday of the UEFA Nations League, now in its second edition, at Milan’s famed San Siro Stadium.
The Italians, four-time World Cup winners, won the Euros this past July, defeating England on penalty kicks in the final at Wembley Stadium. The Azzurri, who under coach Roberto Mancini went through a dramatic tactical overhaul after missing out on the 2018 World Cup, brings a world-record 37-match unbeaten streak into the Nations League semis.
Spain, meanwhile, sent a team to the Euros based largely on youth and manager Luis Enrique was delighted to see his side reach the semis only to lose to Italy in the shootout after midfielder Jorginho buried the winning kick and goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma put in a stellar performance.
La Roja have a chance at redemption on Italian soil, although they will be missing several key players, most notably Barcelona’s Pedri after the talented midfielder recently suffering a thigh injury.
