1. Can Klay Thompson stay healthy?

Speaking of Klay Thompson, the Warriors need him on the court. This rotation looks so much better if this team gets the Thompson of three years ago. Even a slightly hobbled Thompson who still has ice in his veins and can hit a shot from anywhere would be a welcomed addition. If injuries continue to sneak up on Thompson, it could derail the Warriors’ season again.

It’s been two full basketball seasons since Thompson has played a game that counts. He missed the entire empty arena era, the bubble, and the beginning of the 2019-20 season. The last time we saw Thompson play basketball was the 2019 NBA Finals.

It’s a lot to ask him to be healthy for every game this season. The Warriors’ plan for him is probably to play him somewhere in the 50-65 range so he gets plenty of rest. His injuries can linger, and if the Warriors aren’t careful, he will go back on the shelf again.

Thompson needs to be healthy for the playoffs. That is most important. If he misses a week or two here and there, it won’t be ideal, but as long as he’s as healthy as possible for the playoffs, that will answer all the questions for the Warriors.
