Trea Turner praising Dodgers fans is definitely a slight at the Nats.
It’s no secret that Los Angeles Dodgers fans roll deep. They have shown their devotion to the team time and time again and it’s something Dodgers shortstop Trea Turner is just starting to get used to.
Ahead of the Dodgers post-season appearance against the San Francisco Giants, Turner pointed out how shocked he was to see so many traveling Dodgers fans and it’s a veiled insult to the Nationals.
Ouch.
“Washington fans are great,” Turner said. “I had a great time there, loved it there, but going on the road and hearing a pretty decent portion of the crowd cheering for us a little weird. I had a little lapse earlier when we played the Cardinals. I thought the left fielder caught the ball because the fans made a loud noise and almost ran off the field but it was the Dodger fans cheering me because I had ground double.”
Tre Turner thinks it’s weird how many Dodger fans travel to away games
Turner was traded to the Dodgers alongside Max Scherzer in July and it’s been a whirlwind ever since.
