The Alabama Crimson Tide are on upset alert as they trail the Texas A&M Aggies 17-7 after the end of the first quarter.
The Alabama Crimson Tide brushed aside what was supposed to be a huge challenge in the Ole Miss Rebels last weekend. Certainly, they would not have any difficulties against a 3-2 Texas A&M Aggies team on Saturday, right?
Well, if the first quarter is anything to go by, the Crimson Tide are officially on upset alert as they trailed the Aggies 17-7 at the end of the first quarter. That has caught the attention of many who tuned into the game and got the college football Twitter buzzing on Saturday night.

Texas A&M puts Alabama on upset alert
Alabama initially led the game 7-3 following a 20-yard touchdown pass by Bryce Young to Roydell Williams. But then, Texas A&M responded by scoring touchdowns on their next two drives. That came on two passes from quarterback Zach Calzada, one to Jalen Wydermyer and one to Ainias Smith.
The Crimson Tide did threaten to make cut their deficit as they reached the red zone at the start of the second quarter, but Young threw an interception to Aggies’ defensive back Demani Richardson.
Does this mean that Alabama is destined to lose this game? Of course not, you can never count out the Crimson Tide. But, the first quarter has shown that Texas A&M is not going to make things easy for Nick Saban’s team.
Texas A&M has big lead on Alabama at halftime
Texas A&M leads 24-10 at halftime in what would be the biggest upset of the college football season that has already seen more than 30 losses by teams that were ranked. Georgia fans are certainly rooting for the Aggies to finish the Tide off so they will be the No. 1 team in the newest college football rankings on Sunday afternoon.
