Former Penn State running back Saquon Barkley believes the Penn State Nittany Lions can make it to the Big Ten Championship Game.

Following the Penn State Nittany Lions defeat on the road against Iowa, one prominent former Penn State player believes the Nittany Lions will eventually have a shot at redemption against the Hawkeyes.

According to former Penn State running back Saquon Barkley, Penn State and Iowa will meet up again later this season. That can technically happen should the Nittany Lions and Hawkeyes win their respective divisions to meet up in the Big Ten Championship.

One former Penn State star believes the Nittany Lions will meet up with Iowa in the Big Ten Championship Game

There are a lot of games left to be played. Both the Nittany Lions and the Hawkeyes will be tested with their remaining schedules, but it’s true that both teams currently have a shot at getting to the Big Ten Championship Game. Barkley isn’t wrong in saying the Nittany Lions can make it there.

It’s hard to imagine the Nittany Lions making it down the stretch without suffering another Big Ten loss.

It’s not impossible, James Franklin is coaching a good team, but it will be very difficult. The Nittany Lions will be facing both Ohio State and Michigan at various points this season. Both the Buckeyes and Wolverines are going to be challenging Big Ten contenders.

But there’s a chance. If Sean Clifford is able to get healthy and the Nittany Lions can get back to winning, then there’s a chance, and that’s all Franklin’s team really needs.
