As youād expect, the Texas A&M radio broadcast could hardly contain their excitement as the Aggies knocked off Alabama ā in contrast to the Tide radio call.
Jimbo Fisher and the Texas A&M Aggies looked on the verge of implosion, much less on the brink of upsetting the No. 1 team in college football, as they welcomed Alabama to Kyle Field on Saturday night. But thatās why this sport is the best and why they play 60 minutes.
After the Aggies jumped out in control early on, they watched Bama surge in the second half as Nick Saban looked to knock off Jimbo Fisher for the fifth time and move to 25-0 against former assistant coaches. But Fisher had other plans.
The Texas A&M defense forced a three-and-out and, after a couple big gains and a pass interference call, the Aggies set up for the game-winning field goal attempt from 28 yards out by Seth Small. It wasnāt pretty, but it went through the uprights.
You have to hear the Texas A&M radio call of the game-winning field goal to beat Alabama.
If youāre wondering if Texas A&M radio was excited about the victory, just listen for yourself:

Perhaps the best part about it, however, is to contrast it to the Alabama radio call of the same play:

Small and Texas A&M quite literally left the booth from Tuscaloosa speechless ā except for a salty observation that the program would get fined for the fans storming the field.
But really, the difference between the two radio calls highlight how monumental this upset was for the Aggies. They save their season, they toppled big, bad Alabama and now thatās something they can build on.
