Spain and France will meet Sunday, Oct. 10 with the UEFA Nations League title on line at the San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy. Here’s what you need to know before watching.  

Spain will take on France in the UEFA Nations League final on Sunday at Milan’s famed San Siro Stadium.

The Nations League final also pits two teams that have something in common — both Spain and France fell short at this past summer’s Euros.

Spain now have a shot at a major trophy following the failures at the 2018 World Cup. La Roja, who won their first and only World Cup in 2010, once dominated the game by winning back-to-back European Championships in 2008 and 2012.

Under manager Luis Enrique, Spain have rebuilt over the last year and reached the Nations League final after defeating Italy 2-1 on Wednesday in the semifinals, snapping the Azzurri’s world-record 37-game unbeaten streak.

Defending World Cup winners France, meanwhile, got the better of Belgium on Thursday in the other semifinal 3-2 in a dramatic come-from-behind victory after Les Blues went down 2-0 at halftime.
