Joc Pederson owes Anthony Rizzo a thank you card for his playoff moment (Photo)

Joc Pederson better send Anthony Rizzo a thank you card for being part of his NLDS moment.
While they play for other teams now, we should always remember the good times Joc Pederson and Anthony Rizzo spent as Chicago Cubs teammates on the North Side.
Before collapsing horrifically ahead of the deadline, the Cubs had their moments. Though Pederson was dealt first to the Atlanta Braves, Rizzo too would be shipped out of town, joining the New York Yankees. While the Bronx Bombers were eliminated in the AL Wild Card game, Rizzo was more than there in spirit in Game 3 of the 2021 NLDS vs. the Milwaukee Brewers.
Of course, Pederson put Arian Houser’s offering deep into The Chophouse using Rizzo’s bat.
Joc Pederson bat: Anthony Rizzo to thank
Long before he was sporting pearls, Pederson was a Cubbie. He may have spent the bulk of his big-league career in Dodger Blue, but that time spent on the North Side of Chicago sure was memorable. But even if it wasn’t, Pederson sure learned how to pick out a fine piece of timber from the Wrigley Field clubhouse. This is a nice consolation prize to an awful season for the Cubs.
Even as a pinch-hitter, Pederson is the Braves’ early MVP for the 2021 NLDS series vs. Milwaukee.
