Braves fans chanting Freddie Freeman’s name will give you chills (Video)
Freddie Freeman played the role of hero for the Braves in Game 4 with a clutch home run and the Atlanta fans showered him with boisterous love.
If the MLB Postseason is where legends are made, then go ahead and call Freddie Freeman legendary. With his Atlanta Braves locked in a 4-4 tied with the Brewers in Game 4 and up 2-1 in the NLDS, the first baseman stepped up to the plate.
Despite looking in the eyes of one of the most dominant relievers in baseball, Josh Hader, Freeman was unfazed. When he got his pitch a bit more up in the zone than the other looks he’d gotten, he uncorked a monster solo home run to give the Braves a 5-4 lead, which would be enough to punch their ticket to the NLCS.
The crowd at Truist Park in Atlanta was bonkers in that moment. But they were just as loud in delivering an even better moment after the win was secured.

To quote Billy Be…er, Brad Pitt, “How can you not be romantic about baseball?” That’s the question worth asking with the Braves fans chanting “Freddie” while the first baseman celebrated with his teammates:

Even before his clutch dinger, Freeman was already beloved in Atlanta. But after a moment like that, his legendary status in the city is only going to grow. On top of that, it’s likely to only further help him secure a massive bag in the offseason.
The first baseman is set to become a free agent after this season and, as last year’s NL MVP and with moments like this, how could the Braves honestly justify not re-signing him.
Before that, though, Freeman and his team likely have more business they’d like to take care of.
