5 bold predictions for Packers against Bears
2. A.J. Dillon will go over 100 yards rushing
The Packers’ coaching staff continues to split work between Dillon and Aaron Jones on a weekly basis. Jones is clearly the No. 1 option in Green Bay’s backfield, but Dillon is the guy Matt LaFleur turns to when he wants to pound the opposing defense into submission.
The likely game script for this Sunday’s match-up is that Green Bay will sprint out to a healthy lead. Fields and the Chicago offense just don’t have the experience or talent to overcome what Green Bay can do defensively.
Once the Packers secure that lead they’re going to try to shorten the game by running the ball down Chicago’s throat. Dillon should rack up a healthy number of carries in the second half.
Look for the former Boston College standout to go over the century-mark when he breaks off a 20+ yard run late against a tired Bears defense. He’s not going to go much over the 100-yard mark on the afternoon, but he’ll edge over the milestone given his large workload.
