17 (tie). Myles Garrett

There’s a cogent argument to be made that Garrett is the most productive pass-rusher in the NFL today. He entered the 2021 season on the back of three straight double-digit sack seasons and logging six sacks in his first four games makes it very likely he’s about to extend that streak to four seasons in a row.

Garrett isn’t the biggest edge rusher in the league, but he possesses exceptional speed and bend on the perimeter. He became a nightmare for NFL offensive tackles the moment his technique started to catch up with his physical gifts.

The Browns currently benefit greatly from Garrett’s partnership with Jadeveon Clowney at the other defensive end spot. Opposing offenses find it nearly impossible to double team both players at once. That gets Garrett more one-on-one opportunities than a player of his caliber would enjoy under normal circumstances.

Even when Garrett is double-teamed it’s still difficult to keep him away from the quarterback. He’s a generational talent at one of the league’s most valuable positions. Credit Cleveland for tying him down to a deal that can potentially take him all the way through his age-31 season.
