2. Carl Nassib will have the game of his life vs. the Broncos at Mile High

Frankly, this is what everybody outside of Broncos Country is hoping for. Then again, even those in Denver may be cool with it, as long as the Broncos get a win. After Gruden’s email scandal ultimately cost him his job, look for his former player Carl Nassib to have the game of his life. He may only be a rotational pass-rusher, but the universe is aligning for him to have a monster day.

Nassib only has 1.5 sacks on the year, with one coming in a crucial spot vs. the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 on Monday Night Football. He was one of the heroes for the Raiders defensively in that game, so we know he can answer the call when the stage is set. Given that the Broncos are not exactly killing it at quarterback, look for Nassib to have his first multi-sack game of the season.

If he does what we think he can do, this will be a national story of the positive variety in the wake of all the negative crap associated with Gruden. Again, this is a team sport, but Nassib will be a beacon of hope for those who are questioning if the NFL is every really going to evolve. By the end of the game, Nassib will have left it all out there, and everybody him watching will be better for it.

Nassib will more than double his sack total on the season with the best game of his NFL career.
