Andy Reid’s postgame comments should fire every Chiefs fan up
By John Buhler
Andy Reid’s postgame comments after the impressive Week 6 victory over the Washington Football Team should fire up Kansas City Chiefs fans everywhere.
Andy Reid’s Kansas City Chiefs are back to .500, but they have a long way to go before being a great football team once again.
In a game that a lesser team would have lost, the Chiefs came out of halftime down 13-10 guns a-blazing. They shut out the Washington Football Team 21-0 in the second half to win easily, 31-13. Though it is unlikely the Chiefs will have as great of a quarterbacking advantage in any game the rest of the way like they did over Washington, we did see signs of what this team is capable of.
Here is what Reid said at the podium after the Chiefs improved to 3-3 after defeating Washington.
Andy Reid believes the Kansas City Chiefs have turned the corner in Week 6
While that was the best half of football we have seen out of the Chiefs all season long, Washington is not a good Football Team. They are 2-4, and could easily be 0-6. As for Kansas City, the Chiefs don’t exactly have the easiest schedule the rest of the way, but if they have truly turned the corner, then they should have no problem buzz sawing the opposition like the last three years.
Kansas City has a tough road game in Week 7 at the Tennessee Titans, the preeminent team in the god awful AFC South. If the Chiefs win that one, they should be 5-3 by the time the Green Bay Packers come to town in Week 9. You can bet your 401k that the Chiefs are curb stomping the truly pitiful New York Giants in primetime on Monday Night Football in Week 8. That is a lock.
Unless the Chiefs win three games in a row before the Green Bay, Reid’s comments won’t matter.
