Detroit Lions Jared Goff and Jeff Fisher Jared Goff are one and the same

When Jared Goff didn’t know where the sun went on HBO’s Hard Knocks moons ago, that was a red flag if there ever was such a thing. Propped up by the genius that is Sean McVay, the Los Angeles Rams went to the Super Bowl with Goff as their quarterback. Though he played well at times during his five-year run in Los Angeles, he is a huge problem for the winless Detroit Lions.

Goff did not play well last week in the heart-breaking loss to the division rival Minnesota Vikings. Though Dan Campbell’s Lions are very much devoid of talent, Goff went No. 1 out of Cal for a reason. A team with any semblance of pride cannot get turned into cat food for the Cincinnati Bengals to consume at their leisure. Joe Burrow ran circles around Goff all afternoon in Detroit.

We are not asking Goff to move mountains in Detroit this season, but he cannot average 4.4 yards per attempt at home vs. The Geauxt and expect to win games. Frankly, Detroit should be two wins better than what their record indicates. However, you can directly point the finger at Goff’s continued horrendous quarterback play as the reason the Lions are the only winless team left.

Goff was only a Lions stop-gap quarterback anyway, but he may not even be a starter anymore.
