The Patriots lost a thriller in overtime in Week 6 to the Dallas Cowboys and will look to bounce back in their second matchup with the New York Jets

The New England Patriots are a confusing team. They had to overcome a 13 point deficit to beat the Texans in Week 5, but gave the Dallas Cowboys all they could handle in Week 6. What will this week hold as they face the New York Jets?

What to expect between the Patriots and the Jets

The Patriots defense will make timely plays

New England’s defense came up big on multiple occasions against Dallas. They had multiple stops in the red zone, including a fumble recovery from the one yard line. The Cowboys had the ball for almost 13 more minutes than the Patriots in Week 6.

While Dallas won the time of possession battle, they also had two turnovers and two unsuccessful fourth down conversions. One of the stops on fourth down came on Dallas’ opening drive. The Patriots took over with a short field and turned it into a touchdown.

The Cowboys offense has a lot more talent than the Jets. The Jets, in all likelihood, will be in a situation where they need a big play to change the momentum of the game. Dallas was able to do that when it mattered, but there were multiple instances where the Patriots got the better of them. Expect critical stops and takeaways from New England’s defense.
