If the Browns want to look on the trading block for a young quarterback with starting experience, they should give the Broncos a call.

A second-round pick in 2019, Lock showed promise during the tail end of his rookie season, but struggled in his sophomore campaign. The Broncos traded for Teddy Bridgewater this past offseason, and he has played well for the Broncos after beating Lock for the quarterback job in training camp.

Lock’s time in Denver is likely nearing its end, considering a report that the Broncos could be looking at acquiring Aaron Rodgers after this season if he wants off of the Green Bay Packers. In that case, the Broncos should consider dealing Lock at the deadline for a team that is in need for a quarterback.

This is not to say that Lock should be the immediate starter over Case Keenum for Cleveland, but he would be a good backup option.
