The Houston Astros are headed back to the World Series after defeating the Boston Red Sox in the ALCS.
It was looking like the Houston Astros would be heading to another World Series after they held off the Boston Red Sox through eight innings. But that win was all but secured when Kyle Tucker hit a three-run homer to push their lead by five.
And MLB Twitter was loving is … aside from Red Sox fans, of course.

As a Red Sox fan all you can do is tip your cap to the Astros. Playoff baseball remains one of the most intense/draining/dramatic things in sports and these past few weeks were a lot of fun. Can’t win em all!

Of course, not everyone was happy about the Astros getting another shot at a World Series as the cheating scandal is still fresh in their minds.
Gross. Astros in the World Series. 🤮

God, I hate them. I’m not a hater normally, but I make an exception for the Astros. Seeing them happy literally sickens me. I’m confident I’m not alone. #Dodgers

The Astros now await to see who wins the NLCS between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves. The Braves hold a 3-2 series lead and can close it out in Game 6 on Saturday night.
