Tennessee fans were upset that referees missed an apparent fumble by Alabama quarterback Bryce Young on Saturday.
The Alabama Crimson Tide is once again having a difficult time on a Saturday night. This time, it comes against the Tennessee Volunteers. And in the second half, the Volunteers faithful thought the referees missed a pivotal call.
On third and four, Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young ran the ball six yards into the end zone for a touchdown. However, on the half-yard line, it looked as though the ball was knocked out when Young dove for the plane.
Even after a review, the referees ruled that Young recovered the fumble in the end zone for a touchdown.

Very controversial call here. I thought Bryce Young fumbled it before he broke the plane. #Tennessee #Alabama pic.twitter.com/gh4PdXfWwp
Tennessee fans expressed their frustration on social media immediately after the call.
Tennessee fans upset that refs ignored Bryce Young fumble
That's a fumble but it's Alabama. So it's no doubt a 25 point touchdown

If this comes back the Vols are still going to claim a great SEC conspiracy and honestly that will be hilarious to me. If it stands they will also do this and that is also funny, but less so.

For 13 other teams in the @SEC that would be a fumble, but not Alabama

That’s a fumble in every state besides Alabama

That's a clear fumble and recovery by Tennessee. If they don't overturn that then they're cheating. But it's Alabama so they'll get the calls.

Despite the debate over the call, Tennessee did respond on the following drive. Quarterback Hendon Hooker hit wide receiver Cedric Tillman on a huge pass for a 70-yard touchdown, cutting their deficit to 31-24.
Sadly for the Volunteers, their chances of winning drastically decreased. Alabama extended their lead to 45-24 on the next two drives on touchdown runs by Brian Robinson.
Barring a miracle, Alabama will be smoking victory cigars on the Third Saturday of October for the 15th year in a row.
