3. Spencer Rattler best transfer fit: Miami Hurricanes

There are multiple reasons as to why Miami would be a great fit for Rattler as a transfer addition. Perhaps most pertinently, things aren’t looking great for the future of head coach Manny Diaz.

Whenever there is a change at head coach, we often see that recruiting or situations can change pretty drastically. Subsequently, the best option is often to look on the transfer market at an important position like quarterback and try to find an immediate option to get the new tenure off the ground.

On top of that, no matter what happens with Diaz, it’s hard not to think that Hurricanes could be looking for a new quarterback in 2022. D’Eriq King will be gone after exhausting his eligibility and he’s already watching Tyler Van Dyke likely finish out this season. As for Van Dyke, nothing he’s shown to this point suggests he is a top-end quarterback option for the Canes to build with moving forward.

Adding Spencer Rattler would be a shot in the arm for the Miami football program and possibly for a new head coach. It’s been quite some time since The U has had a quarterback with the pedigree and talent of the soon-to-be-former Oklahoma signal-caller. But if they could persuade him to head to Coral Gables, the rocket-armed passer could be a real game-changer for a program that needs such a player.
