Josh Donaldson sends classy message to Braves after World Series berth
By Josh Hill
There’s no more Purple Rain in Atlanta, but that didn’t stop Josh Donaldson from sending a message to the Braves after their World Series berth.
There’s a long list of adjectives to describe Josh Donaldson but sentimental ones aren’t usually front of mind. He’s never been afraid to poke his opponents or their fans, or to hold grudges.
Nothing negative is emanating from Donaldson upon reacting to the Atlanta Braves reaching the World Series, however. Donaldson had nothing but positive things to say about his former team after they reached the World Series for the first time since 1999 on Saturday after bashing the Dodgers in Game 6 of the NLCS.
Donaldson immediately took to Twitter to celebrate what his former teammates had pulled off, and threw his full support behind the Braves and their fans.

Braves fans show love for Josh Donaldson after World Series message
It sure seems like we know how Donaldson is rooting for in the World Series this year.
The love Donaldson showed for the Braves and their fans was reciprocated in his mentions.
Donaldson played for the Braves for just a single season back in 2019, but his work in Atlanta helped him win NL Comeback Player of the Year and set him up to sign with the Minnesota Twins in the offseason and cash-in $92 million.
It’s clear that while Donaldson’s time with the Braves was short, the impact he left remains.
